In this video, Daniel Wheeler takes you through one of his DTP arm workouts.
This DTP arm workout focused on hitting every head of the bicep and tricep. The workout consisted of 600 reps, using the DTP pyramid principle of 50, 40, 30, 20, 10, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50.
The bicep workout was split into two movements: -
- Wide Grip barbell curl
- Close Grip barbell curl
The tricep workout was split into two movements: -
- Skull Crushers
- Flat bar cable extensions
Each pyramid rep was superset with a combination of movements. For example, the first 50 reps were: -
50 x Wide Grip barbell curl
superset with
50 x Skull Crushers
then rest…. up the weight
40 x Wide Grip barbell curl
superset with
40 x Skull Crushers
etc etc
This workout utilises the Kris Gethin DTP principle and is insanely intensive. This is not for the faint hearted and should only be attempted when the user really knows what they are doing – lifting for a purpose, not for their ego.
